Purpose and Status
The Lyme Disease Society is a volunteer group dedicated to advocacy on Lyme
disease and other Tick-borne diseases education, prevention, research and
patient issues. The Lyme Disease Society is not a fundraising organization,
fundraising charity, or corporation, and we do not accept donations for our
activities. All expenses and activities are personally financed. All work is
done on a total volunteer basis. Since many Lyme disease and tick-borne diseases fundraising
organizations already exist, we do not want to dilute the community's
fundraising efforts and private research. Lyme Disease Society is
based in Pennsylvania and was founded in the year 2000.
